Lady Norwood rose garden

Across the street at the Botanical Gardens, the Lady Norwood Rose Garden has spectacular formal gardens in front of the Begonia House Conservatory. The Main Gardens feature changing displays of bedding plants and flowers, and thousands of specimen shrubs and mature trees. The Cable Car connects the Lookout at the top of the Botanical Gardens to the heart of Lambton Quay in the city centre. Step back into history exploring the Historic Bolton Street Cemetery en route to the Parliament Buildings and the city centre.
 

Rose garden fountain

The State Highway One motorway 'on' and 'off' ramps are a moment's drive away. Downtown Wellington, Parliament, Old St Paul's Church and the attractions of the city are all within walking distance. The harbour is about twelve minutes stroll and further along the waterfront is the 'Te Papa' museum.
